Kartelluni is an art project inspired by the iconic travel posters, postcards and photos produced for tourism publicity from the early 20th century onwards.
After extensive research, the founder Janice Mercieca and local artists invited on board translate the unspoiled, peaceful, uncrowded and pollution-free places that once existed in Malta, into a series of fine art prints. The aim is to pick up where the masters of the golden era of travel illustration left off and create art deco travel posters that look like they were produced during the last century.
