The 'Sorm tal-Baћar', or giant tun in English, gets its colourful Maltese name from the shell's large and rounded form. This huge seasnail can sometimes be seen hiding among seagrasses during the day, or roaming the seafloor at night in search of its favourite prey - sea cucumbers!
