Gulja Holland

I am a visual artist based between Malta and London specialising in painting. My creative range spans from abstracts to figurative work and photography, reflecting my experience and exposure to different creative fields. Recurring themes in my work are self-identity, environmental destruction and existential anxiety.

While my aesthetic is shaped by a vast array of artistic influences I think my style would be best described as verging between Surrealism and Expressionism. I have exhibited in numerous European solo and group exhibitions and my work can be found in both public and private collections internationally. At present, I am reading for a Masters’s degree in Painting at the Royal College of Art, London.
